Jogja was (and in some part I suppose still is) my destined city. I was born there and was supposedly lived there for about 2 years before my brain can produce working memories. But my family moved and I ended up growing up in Semarang, Central Java’s capital city, ~125 km north of Jogja. I’ve lived there for about 18 years, before going off to university in another city.
I was always a sucker for “living the dream” lifestyle. I wanted to be the person who pursue her dreams and essentially do whatever I want. I knew I won’t fit in an office where you just sit around blindly following whatever orders barked to you by your supervisors. That was one of the reason I chose to work in creative industry.
